Product Description

A compact two-way radio built for tour staff, event crews, and venue teams who need clear, dependable channel communication without carrying a full-size radio.

Overview

The YingMi M1 is a mini two-way radio designed for teams that need to stay in constant contact across a venue, tour route, or event site. It packs 16 selectable channels, voice-activated transmission (VOX), sub-audio channel privacy, and encrypted frequency hopping into a body small enough to clip to a belt or lanyard — making it a practical companion radio for staff who need to communicate without interrupting the guest-facing experience.
Every function on the M1 — from channel selection to timeout protection — can be configured through YingMi's PC programming software, so operations teams can standardize settings across an entire fleet of units before handing them out.

Built For

Mini Walkie-Talkie application scenarios

Tour & Guide Team Coordination

Keep guides, drivers, and support staff synchronized across multi-stop itineraries without relying on cellular signal.

Event & Venue Operations

Coordinate staff across large venues — museums, exhibition halls, theme parks — where quick, reliable channel switching matters.

Group Excursions

Give trip leaders and support crew a private backchannel that runs independently of the guest-facing audio guide system.

Security & Access Control

Busy channel lockout and sub-audio privacy help entry staff and floor supervisors avoid cross-talk with other channel users.

Key Features

16-Channel Selection

Cycle through 16 channels with a long press of the volume/channel keys. When voice announcement is enabled, the M1 reads the active channel back to the user, so staff can confirm they're on the right channel without looking at the display.

VOX Hands-Free Operation

Voice-activated transmission switches the radio to transmit mode automatically when it detects speech. Sensitivity is adjustable across 9 levels, and VOX delay can be set from 0.5 to 3 seconds, both configured through the programming software.

Busy Channel Lockout (BCL)

When enabled, BCL prevents transmission on a channel that's already in use, sounding an alert tone instead — reducing interference with other radios on the same frequency.

Frequency-Hopping Encryption

An optional frequency-hopping mode encrypts CTCSS/DCS signaling data, configured through the programming software for teams that need an added layer of channel privacy.

Safety & Battery Care

  • Charge only with the original YingMi 5V / 1A charger to avoid damaging the unit.
  • Never short-circuit, puncture, or expose the battery to open flame or high heat.
  • If the radio is submerged in water, stop use immediately and contact YingMi or an authorized service point.
  • Store spare batteries in a cool, dry, shaded place if they won't be used for an extended period.
  • Stop using any battery that shows swelling, or a charger that shows visible wear or damage.
  • Dispose of used batteries through a proper recycling point rather than household waste.

FAQ

How many people can use the YingMi M1 on the same channel?

The M1 supports group communication on any of its 16 channels. For teams sharing a frequency with other radio users nearby, QT/DQT sub-audio codes and busy channel lockout help keep the channel clear for your group specifically.

Can the M1 be configured before it's handed out to staff?

Yes. Channel settings, VOX sensitivity, timeout timer, sub-audio codes, and voice announcement language are all configured through YingMi's PC programming software, so an entire batch of units can be set up identically in advance.

Does the M1 work as a tour guide audio system?

The M1 is a two-way radio for team and staff communication, not a one-to-many guide-to-listener system. For guest-facing commentary and multilingual tour audio, pair it with a dedicated YingMi tour guide system.

What happens if the battery runs low during use?

The M1 gives a voice prompt every 30 seconds and flashes its transmit LED red when the battery is low, giving staff time to recharge or swap batteries before the radio shuts off.
